Eton Beach, Vanuatu, Vila Chaumieres Resort

Eton Beach. Eton Beach is a little further on after Turtle Bay resort - there is a barbecue hut and good toilet and changing facilities. The beach is small and sheltered, with a freshwater spring running onto the ocean, and you can snorkel, swim, or fish off the breakwater. Entry is 300vt pp, which goes to the people of Eton Village to help maintain the beach. After swimming at Eton Beach we recommend to stop and enjoy lunch at Wahoo bar.

Vanuatu Attractions: Mount Yasur

Vanuatu Accommodation Port Vila Accommodation
Mount Yasur, on the Southern Vanuatu Island of Tanna, is probably the archipelago's most iconic landmark and the most accessible, active volcano in the world.  This stunning Vanuatu volcano is 361 meters above sea level and the crater itself is 300 meters wide and 100 meters deep. Visitors can be driven to within 150 meters of the crater's edge and even walk around the entire perimeter, though you should remember to bring sunscreen and hats if you choose to do so in the heat of the day.

Mt Yasur, the most amazing volcano!

Kiwis Love Vanuatu, Vila Chaumieres Resort Package

“Location, setting and atmosphere !”
Reviewed June 14, 2013 NEW
Richard and Ursula were the perfect hosts, being our first time to Vanuatu we we're extremely happy to have come across such a lovely place. They were more than happy to recommend and organise the best attractions Vanuatu had to offer.
The staff were very friendly nothing was a problem for any of them ( especially a young lady Pauline ).
The food was delicious and was always presented lovely, ( the crab is as tasty as they say) the complimentry breakfast was an added bonus.
Our room was spacious and very private, and our bed very comfortable.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, gorgeous food, hassle free accommodation then look no further Vila Chaumieres is the place to stay.
Thanks once again Richard and Ursula we wish you all the best.

Hidden Paradise, Vanuatu Resort, Vila Chaumieres

“Perfect for a quiet getaway”
Reviewed May 5, 2013
It's a very nice, small, quiet hotel not too far away from town. The room we stayed in overlooked the lagoon and was cosy. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. The best part was their food! The seafood platter is a must-try!

Fabulous Views at Port Vila Resort, Vila Chaumieres

 “Gay-friendly, fab location, delicious food”
5 of 5 starsReviewed April 5, 2013
What a gem! Stayed 3 weeks during Feb/March and could not have been happier. Fabulous location on the lagoon, delicious food, great accommodation. Hosts Ursula and Richard and their friendly staff helped us arrange transport, organise a picnic and readily catered to our vegetarian palates. The complimentary breakfast consisted of a varied selection of fresh fruits which we occasionally supplemented with croissants and jam. The stunning location and quality of food and service meant that the award-winning restaurant was well-patronised by visitors and locals at night. Accommodation exceeded our expectations, with the garden bungalows both spacious and private. Having stayed at the much larger resorts of Le Lagon and Iririki in previous years, Vila Chaumieres wins hands down.

Restaurant
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and bar service and breakfast is available for houseguests. Meals will be served to rooms on request.

Room Services
All rooms are serviced daily and a laundry service is also available on request. Guests are greeted with a special Welcome pack and honeymooners receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival.

Transportation
Airport transfers, Discovery tours of Vanuatu, Blue lagoon tours, Mele Cascades tours and Sightseeing can all be organised at reception by our friendly staff.

Customer Testimonials, Vila Chaumieres, Vanuatu Resort

Route de Teouma,
Port Vila, Vanuatu.
5 of 5 starsReviewed March 11, 2013
After being to Tanna, Port Vila seemed like tourist crazed hell, one night at Coconut Palms in Port Vila and wasn't sure I wanted to stay...

Vila Chaumiere however is away from the tacky town, and the room was superb! The hosts and staff were great, the hosts especially helpful in finding transport and arranging things to do.

Vanuatu is not cheap, Australian prices, so prepare for a heart attack if paying in US$. But I think Vila Chaumiere was a good value for the quality received (certainly compared to Coconut Palms) and the owners are really very genuine in seeing that everything went well. Nice atmosphere there in the restaurant by the lagoon, you feel very relaxed and can watch the fish for hours and hours... :) the resort is exceptionally clean. They can do laundry there for reasonable cost, everything for travellers is thought of :) they know some good people to drive you around too.

I am greatful to them for all the help they gave, the tasty food and I would stay there again in Port Vila, for sure. It redeemed the town for me :) All the best to you!

Vanuatu Weather, Endless Blue Skies

Vanuatu Climate

Summer in Vanuatu falls between November to March with average temperatures reaching 28°C. The summer months are hot and humid but are generally well cooled by the sea breezes. Winter occurs during April to September and even then, temperatures still average23°C. Swimming can be enjoyed year round as the water temperature only varies slightly from 22°C to 28°C.

The warmer weather and more humid months during December to April are when Vanuatu experiences the majority of its wet season with decent rain every month. Rainfall averages anywhere from 2-4 m annually on the northern islands.
As the summer months are also part of the tropical cyclone season, most of the resorts are located in the south where humidity is lower, there is less rainfall and the chances of extreme weather and climate conditions is much slimmer.
What are you waiting for? Plan your next holiday in Vanuatu! - Check out Vila Chaumieres!
